Amador Valley High School(commonly Amador or AVHS) is a public high school located in Pleasanton, California, a suburban town east of San Francisco. Amador is a part of the Pleasanton Unified School District, which also includes Foothill High School, Village High School, and Horizon High School. The school was founded as Amador Valley Joint Union High School and had its first class graduate in 1923. The school has been named a California Distinguished School, a National School of Character, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Foothill High School (FHS) is a four-year secondary school in Pleasanton, California. It was built in 1973. It is one of two comprehensive high schools and one alternative high school in the Pleasanton Unified School District. The current enrollment is 2,343 students.[2] The school recently made headlines by banning "freak" dancing. The school mascot is the falcon and the official rival school is Amador Valley High School. The school colors are yellow and blue. FHS was recognized as 2001 California Distinguished School and a 2002 National Blue Ribbon California Nominee. In addition, FHS was a 2006 winner of the National Blue Ribbon Award!
Horizon High School (commonly Horizon) is a public high school for school-age mothers located in Pleasanton, California, a community in the San Francisco Bay Area. Horizon is a part of the Pleasanton Unified School District, which also includes Amador Valley High School, Foothill High School, and Village High School.[3]
Village High School (commonly Village) is a public continuation high school located in Pleasanton, California, a community in the San Francisco East Bay area. Village is a part of the Pleasanton Unified School District, which also includes Amador Valley High School, Foothill High School, and Horizon High School. The high school was formed for students from Amador Valley and Foothill with low grades, multiple absences, or credit deficiencies.[4]
Harvest Park Middle School is a grade 6-8 formulated middle school. It is one of the three middle schools in the Pleasanton Unified School District along with Hart Middle School and Pleasanton Middle School.
Pleasanton Middle School (commonly known as PMS) is a public middle school in Pleasanton, California, a suburban community in the San Francisco Bay Area. The school is in the Pleasanton Unified School District, which also contains schools such as Harvest Park Middle School and Hart Middle School. The school's motto is 'Kids Come First'. About 1200 students attend this school, and their mascot is the Panther.There are about 65 teachers in the school.[5] The two vice principals are Aileen Parsons and Mr. Campbell. They play other schools like Harvest Park Middle School, Hart Middle School and Junction Intermediate School in various activities and sports including basketball,volley ball, and wrestling. The school first opened in the year 1991.
Thomas S. Hart Middle School is a public middle school in Pleasanton, California, a suburban community in the San Francisco Bay Area. The school is in the Pleasanton Unified School District, which also contains Harvest Park Middle School and Pleasanton Middle School. Thomas S. Hart Middle school was founded in 2000. It is the newest middle school in the district.
